The Hunger...

The Hunger...

Photographer: Carl Farmer. Model: Aisling Poole

Aishling Poole came in for a test shoot to work out some lighting and costume plans we had but she brought along with her the talented Amy McGuire so we had to take advantage of her skills and we got a really powerful shot which we called 'The Hunger'.

Back Breaking Work...

Back Breaking Work...

Photographer: Carl Farmer. Model: Harley River and Eneshai

The studio is very lucky to have fans that work in loads of different professions but when we got a mail to say that one of the big hospitals in Dublin were clearing out their operating theatre and would we like and operating table and a pile of medical props we jumped at the idea. This is one of the current series of horror shots we are working on for the FRPS distinction later in the year.

Suck the life out of Me...

Suck the life out of Me...

Photographer: Carl Farmer. Model: Jennifer H

This shoot came about from the expression "You're sucking the life out of me..." and it didn't take a leap of faith to turn one of our mannequins into a donor body for our human smoothie...

The Pixies...

The Pixies...

Photographer: Carl Farmer. Model: Aish and Laura

It's hard to believe its been a year since Laura died. Her picture from the Carnival Series of her in the box still hangs proudly in the studio and everyone who sees it still compliments her beauty. In hounour of another year I went back and took a look thorugh some of her shots with us and I reworked this shot of her with Ash.

Hooked on Life...

Hooked on Life...

Photographer: Carl Farmer. Model: Maggie Paige

This shot was inspired by the Hell Raiser films and when Carl Farmer discussed it with Nina Whitt a plan was hatched. This is one of the current series of horror shots we are working on for the FRPS distinction later in the year. The Studio has several fans in ideal positions to support it and supply it with props and unusual…

Photographer: Carl Farmer. Model: Rachel and Ivan

Ivan from XeroSun and Rachel Lally who is one of our regulars joined us for another of the horror series of shots we are working on. Nina did her magic with the makeup and we finally got to debut Baby Davis to the world. This is one of the really fun shoots we have had so far this year.

The Exodus...

This is our take on one of the famous Asian horror images that seems to crop up regularly in different forms. We really love how this one turned out...

Latest News Updates

  • Valentina's Voyeur Shoot...

We got to work with the fantastically talented Valentina for one of the Voyeur shots today. Valentina came all the way over from Galway for the shoot and we were not disappointed with the results. The new water addition to the window frame really seems to be working out well for these shots and as always when you start to come to the end of a series all the pieces start to drop into place. The lighting, effects, models and everything seem to have come together for this shot.

More about the models, makeup artists and photographers can be found in the galleries. You will need to create an account or login to see this gallery and the others if you have not already.
  • Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School Dublin...

This months Dr. Sketchy's was a Wizard of Oz theme and as usual the models and the atmosphere were great. This really is unlike any other life drawing class you are ever going to go to.

I think the venue let them down this time, the old venue that they were using was a lot to live up to and this new one is not ideal for this sort of event but never the less everyone made the best of it and hopefully when the renovation work is complete they will get the opportunity to move to somewhere more suitable.

Carl Farmer and Sarah Murphy both went this month and seemed to really enjoy themselves.
